Understanding Human Behaviour to Support Change
Human Behaviour Change for Life (HBCL) is a Community Interest Company (CIC) that provides clients from around the world with actionable, practical advice and support to understand human behaviour and apply the principles of behaviour change to their work.
We use our expertise to explore the link between humans and our environment, the food we eat, the education of our children, our wellbeing and much, much more. We harness sector-specific knowledge and combine it with behaviour change theory and practice to provide unique insight that enables sustained, impactful change. By embedding an understanding of human behaviour and how it can be applied to benefit humans, animals, and the natural world, we can help to nurture compassion in humans and drive social change - reflecting that humans are both the problem and the solution.

Human Behaviour Change for Animals
We established HBCA, in 2016, after recognising that insight about how and why people behave the way they do could provide solutions to challenging issues that affect animals. After all, people interact with animals every day – by owning pets or farming animals, or through the choices we make about the food we eat or the clothes we wear.
We have combined animal sector expertise with behaviour change theory and practice to offer a unique specialism in animal health, welfare, protection, and conservation. Since HBCA was founded, we have provided bespoke solutions that are innovative, creative, and affordable to a wide range of organisations and individuals. Human Behaviour Change for Life was founded as a result of the increasingly diverse work we were undertaking with HBCA and in recognition of the fact that human behaviour change science can be used across a wide range of sectors to create lasting positive change.
